Adrian Scicluna (shik-luna) is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in painting. His practice explores how constructed systems—technological, urban, and social—shape human behaviour, perception, and agency.
Born in England to Maltese parents and raised between England and Malta, he now lives and works in the UAE. This transnational trajectory informs a practice grounded in movement across cultural and geographic contexts, where shifting environments become central to how experience is formed and understood.
His path into art followed an earlier career in industrial electronics, where he worked within systems defined by precision, repetition, and function. This experience, combined with formative periods of travel, prompted a shift toward a practice centred on making and critical reflection.
He studied at the University of Malta and completed an MA in Fine Arts at Wimbledon College of Art, University of the Arts London. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in collections including Heritage Malta and the Sichuan Fine Arts Museum.
Working across painting, installation, and mixed media, his practice continues to evolve through an engagement with environments
