Artist Listing Policy

This Artist Listing Policy (“Policy”) sets forth the mandatory requirements applicable to Members listing original Artworks on the Services. Compliance with this Policy is a condition of access to and use of the Services.
1. Eligibility and Authorization
Members may list only original Artworks that they:
- Own, or
- Are duly authorized to sell.
Members represent and warrant that all Artworks listed are authentic, available for sale, and do not infringe any third-party rights. Artviewings reserves the right to request proof of authenticity, ownership, or authorization at any time.
2. Image Requirements
All Listings must include high-quality, accurate visual representations of the Artwork.
Members must:
- Upload clear, high-resolution images that accurately depict the Artwork
- Ensure images reflect true color, scale, and condition
- Include multiple views where necessary to represent the Artwork fully
Members must not:
- Use filters, edits, or enhancements that materially alter the appearance of the Artwork
- Include watermarks, logos, or promotional overlays
- Upload misleading, low-quality, or incomplete images
Artviewings may remove or suspend Listings that do not meet these standards.
3. Accuracy and Completeness of Listings
Members are solely responsible for ensuring that all Listing information is accurate, complete, and not misleading.
Each Listing must include, at a minimum:
- Title, artist name, medium, and dimensions
- Year of creation (if known)
- Edition details (if applicable)
- Signature details and framing status
- A clear and accurate description of the Artwork
Members must disclose any material defects, restoration, or condition issues. Any omission or misrepresentation may result in enforcement action.
4. Pricing Integrity
Members must:
- Provide accurate, current, and transparent pricing
- Maintain consistency between the Listing price and any external sales channels, where applicable
Members must not:
- Misrepresent pricing or create misleading pricing structures
- Engage in deceptive pricing practices
Artviewings reserves the right to remove Listings or take corrective action where pricing is deemed misleading or inconsistent.
5. Packaging, Shipping, and Fulfillment
Members are solely responsible for the proper packaging, handling, and shipment of Artworks.
Members must:
- Use professional-grade packaging appropriate to the Artwork
- Ensure protection against damage during transit
- Use reliable, trackable shipping methods
- Comply with stated handling and shipping timelines
Failure to properly package or ship an Artwork may result in liability for damages and enforcement actions.
6. Returns, Refunds, and Guarantee Compliance
Members are required to comply with the Artviewings Guarantee and Return Policy.
Members must:
- Cooperate in good faith in resolving claims and disputes
- Accept returns and honor refunds where applicable
- Follow all instructions provided by Artviewings in connection with claims
Artviewings reserves the right to issue refunds to buyers and recover such amounts from Members in accordance with the Terms.
7. Professional Conduct
Members must:
- Communicate with buyers in a timely and professional manner
- Provide accurate and complete information upon request
- Fulfill all obligations associated with their Listings
Unprofessional conduct or failure to fulfill obligations may result in enforcement action.
8. Prohibited Conduct
Members must not:
- Misrepresent the authenticity, origin, or nature of any Artwork
- List Artworks not in their possession or control
- Use misleading images, descriptions, or metadata
- Circumvent the Services to complete transactions outside the platform
- Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful conduct
9. Monitoring and Enforcement
Artviewings reserves the right, but not the obligation, to:
- Review, monitor, and audit Listings and Member activity
- Request documentation or additional information
- Remove or modify Listings at its sole discretion
10. Enforcement Actions
Failure to comply with this Policy may result in one or more of the following actions, in Artviewings’ sole discretion:
- Removal or suspension of Listings
- Withholding or adjustment of payouts
- Issuance of refunds to buyers and recovery from the Member
- Temporary or permanent suspension of account access
- Termination of Member account
Repeated or material violations may result in permanent removal from the platform.
11. No Limitation of Other Rights
This Policy is in addition to, and not in limitation of, any other rights or remedies available to Artviewings under the Terms or applicable law.
